has etched his name in the history books as he became the highest Indian scorer in his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) innings, breaking a 15-year-old record set by

Swapnil Asnodkar

of Rajasthan Royals (RR) way back in 2008 in the inaugural edition of the cash-rich league.

Vivrant, who played a fine knock of 69 runs, surpassed Asnodkar's score of 60 while playing against mighty Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
